Janna Caron Crandall

CEO

Janna Caron Crandall “Carie” is the daughter of Lynne and Brad Crandall Sr.  Carie began to receive business and economic awards while in highschool, was on trading desks while attending UCLA.  Carie majored in Economics UCLA and Psychology UCLA, and attended Executive Programs including Directors College for many years at Stanford.  Carie is well credentialed in the financial arena with brokerage, blue sky, financial principal, options principal, supervisory principal, and more.  Carie joined Charles Schwab in the early years developing a unique trading, marketing and electronic delivery expertise, part of the team that developed the first electronic order entry platforms for customers and abilities to vault data centers, use technologies to flex to customer call demand across many states.  Carie enjoyed building the next “new thing”.  Carie received several Excellence in Service awards, demonstrating that success is managed, handling large national complex projects to bring on new business segments into production, or leveraging technologies to more efficiently execute business.  Carie most recently served as Managing Director for the New York Stock Exchange, responsible for listed and new business across the 17 western states, listing new IPOs and participating with and enforcing governance standards to protect listed corporations and the shareholders there of.  Carie values the strength of her family and the many strong partnerships and friendships grown over time.  Carie has served on the first San Francisco Sustainable City Recovery Plan Board initiated by the Red Cross, youngest board member ever appointed to the San Francisco Museums Board, Chair of the Professional Members Counsel, Fine Arts Museum and DeYoung Museums, Board Member Junior League, SF SPCA.  Member of Olympic Club San Francisco, one of the first hundred female members.

Celeste Burns

Head of Marketing & Sales, Board Member

With over 30 years of experience, and 20 loyal years with Lynne and Brad Crandall Sr’s business ventures, Celeste is the ideal candidate to head ProGuard, Inc. Marketing & Sales.  Early in Celeste’s career, she developed a passion for Roses and has worked with various Rose Societies throughout Southern California, a former member of the Pacific Rose Society and California Coastal Rose Society.  Celeste personally helped nurture and maintain the Tournament of Roses Garden in Pasadena CA and the All American Selection Test Garden in Carlsbad CA.  With EB Stone, Celeste worked on product development, soils, organic fertilizers, and amendments.  Later in her career, she was hands on at EB Stone with new package designs and responsible for “directions to use” with products thereof.  Celeste excels with sharing her broad skillset to explain the uses of organic approaches with many diverse audiences including: expert gardeners, landscape professionals and retail nurseries throughout the west coast.  Celeste now lives in Santa Barbara CA, owner of Paradise Farm Nursery.  We welcome Celeste to ProGuard’s management team, effective September 2022.

Todd A. Montgomery

CPA

Todd A. Montgomery, CPA for ProGuard, Inc. as of Tax Year 2022.  Todd Montgomery has a well seasoned history in the professional accounting industry.  Todd has a strong entrepreneurship professional skillset in business, taxation and customer service.  Todd as of March 2024, has opened a new office in Woodland, CA.  Prior to, Todd was a Partner with Johnston, Martin & Montgomery, LLP, working with that team for over 37 years, representing leading business and agriculture entities.  Todd graduated from California State University, Sacramento and is a native to Woodland, attending Woodland High School.  ProGuard values Todd’s proven depth of knowledge, and focus over ProGuard’s corporate financial controls.  Todd is an avid and competitive bowler, and known to enjoy his associations with unique boutique vineyards throughout California.
